from service. Weeks before the attacks of September 11, 2001, D.A. entered on duty with the Central Intelligence Agency. The events of that day would shape the next twenty years of his career. As a CIA Operations Officer, he served in Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia, and Washington, D.C., working on some of the most challenging national security issues of the post-9/11 era. His assignments included counterterrorism, counterintelligence, covert action, and other sensitive missions conducted alongside U.S. Government and foreign partners. He is the recipient of the CIA Career Intelligence Medal, the Bronze Star, and numerous other awards and commendations.
Today, D.A. writes espionage thrillers that explore loyalty, betrayal, redemption, and the personal cost of service. Drawing on firsthand experience while remaining firmly rooted in fiction, his novels examine the difficult choices made in the shadows and the consequences that often linger long after the mission ends.
